The Sydney Weeds Committees assess weed risks, keep track of infestations, plan and undertake weed control and promote weed identification and control skills across the region.
These activities are guided by the members of four regional committees across Sydney – Central, North, South West or West Blue Mountains. They also gather and share information about invasive plants that have the potential to affect ecosystems and waterways across the Sydney Blue Mountains region. Weed Risk Assessments are undertaken to determine the greatest threats to the region so that resources can be directed to where they are most needed.
