Herbs

Herbs have a variety of growth habits. In botanical terminology parts of an herbaceous plant will wilt and die down to the soil after growing and flowering is over for the season. They lack a woody stem above the ground. They can be annual, biennial or perennial. For annual herbs the plant dies completely and grows again from see. For the perennial and biennial herbs the stem might die but other parts exist close to or under the ground and the plant can revive from these be they roots or a thick part of the stem or a rhizome, bulb, tuber or stolon.
